“Blue Heart: The Fight for Europe’s Last Wild Rivers”

Full house at Europe House at the screening of the documentary “Blue Heart: The Fight for Europe’s Last Wild Rivers”, as part of the EU Delegation’s #TodayforEnvironment campaign.
The audience had the chance to watch the efforts of local communities in protecting one of the largest undammed rivers in Europe, Vjosa, the efforts to save the endangered Balkan lynx in North Macedonia, and the women of Kruščica, Bosnia and Herzegovina, who are spearheading 24/7 protests to protect their community’s only source of drinking water.

The screening was followed by a debate between participants and representatives of ECO Albania, an Environmental NGO focused on Vjosa’s future and protection of environment in Albania.
