The cinema nights were held simultaneously in 5 different cities with the aim to promote
the Europian culture and bring it closer to the Albanian citizens. The formula consisted in
broadcasting in each city a different movie originating from different EU Member States.
Citizens of respective communities showed a great interest in joining the events.
The following movies were shown:
1) Vlora – “Eltern” (Germany) at the open air cinema of Vlora waterfront,
2) Berat – “Sorrow of Mrs.Snajdrova” (Czech Republic) on the city promenade,
3) Gjirokastra – “Politiki Kouzina” (Greece) at the Odeon,
4) Belsh – “Siv Sleeps Astray” (Sweden) on the city promenade, and
5) Tirana – “Fuocammare” (Italy) at the Istituto Italiano di Cultura.
