Opening of the Europe Tree Park

Christian Danielsson, EU NEAR Director General and Erion Veliaj, Mayor of Tirana, opened the Europe Tree Park in presence of EU Ambassador Romana Vlahutin and Ambassadors of EU Member States. Europe Tree Park is dedicated to Europe and to the Albanian aspiration to join the European Union. Each Member State has planted its own tree representing their respective country. The trees were labeled with recycble material as a symbol of the respect for the nature. This event was done in cooperation with the Municipality of Tirana.

EU Village

A whole afternoon of entertainment and information dedicated to Europe. In 10 stands, EU Member States have presented their countries and their activities in Albania. In 8 other stands, the EU Delegation has showcased the diversity of its support for the country’s development through the projects funded. A speaker’s corner was organized with a programme of discussions with the public and entertainment activities. EU Village was visited by a large number of people, including schools’ kids and students.
