EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca welcomed more than 700 guests at the premises of the Palace of Brigades in Tirana to celebrate Europe Day 2019. President Ilir Meta, Parliament Speaker Gramoz Ruçi, Prime Minister Edi Rama, Ministers of the Government of Albania, EU Member States Ambassadors, heads of religious communities and many other distinguished guests were among the invites.
The Albanian anthem and the Ode to Joy singed from the choir of the of the Artistic Lyceum created an exciting atmosphere as well as the quartet from the University of Arts and the closing concert from Elina Duni.
“Young people can push governments, institutions, any of us, to act. We need them to be constantly involved in building the Europe of the future. In Albania and in the Union’s Member States, the most urgent action is to answer the call for inclusiveness which is coming from the young generation. Let it not be a missed call. The need to involve them is more urgent than ever “, said EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca.
