On the occasion of International Women’s Day, women from all over Albania gathered today at Europe House to be part of a series of events aimed at raising awareness on women’s rights.

“I am honored to be with you to celebrate the activism and transformative power of women and girls in Albania. The EU stands against any form of gender-based violence. Indifference kills. Each and every woman and girl should come forward and raise their voice against violence and let their stories be heard. We will be listening,” said EU Ambassador Luigi Soreca during the opening ceremony.
