Position: Graphic Designer, Europe House Project, funded by the European Union
Location: Europe House Office in Tirana, Albania
Overall description
The Graphic Designer will be expected to work at the Europe House project office located in Tirana, but s/he will be also expected to work from her/his own office.
Under the supervision of the Team Leader, the Graphic Designer will be responsible for preparing creative design concepts and once approved ensure their full implementation in activities, events and campaigns. In addition, s/he will be responsible for adapting creative proposals for use in online and offline communication.
Graphic Designer will prepare a series of online posters for use in various social media channels including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
Main responsibilities of the Graphic Designer are:
- Prepare creative concepts,
- Prepare design layouts for different communications,
- Adaptation of already produced designs based on requests,
- Provide creative ideas and implementation for campaigns, events and other activities,
- Prepare design proposals for promotional materials,
- Prepare layout and formatting of publications, brochures, flyers, posters, etc.,
- Maintain professional communication with project stakeholders,
- All other tasks related to graphic design
Expert’s profile:
Qualifications and skills
- University degree, preferably a Master’s degree, in a discipline related to this profile
- Fluency in both written and spoken English and Albanian
General professional experience
- At least 5 years of general professional experience in graphic design and/or marketing
- At least 2 years in information, publicity, visibility, communication activities in the public or private sector
Specific professional experience
- Experience in management and implementation of multiple graphic design tasks with various projects
- Ability to work independently with minimal direct oversight
- Direct professional experience in graphic design is required
- Professional experience with Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign (Adobe After Effects would be considered an asset)
- Team player, innovative and creative
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed and dynamic work environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Experience in information and communication activities in international donor-funded projects and particularly in EU-funded programmes will be an advantage
