Albano Carrisi, the first Western artist to perform in Tirana in 1989 singing songs of freedom in front of thousands of people, comes with a special closing message for European Week on Sunday 10 May at 21:30.
Al Bano is one of Italy’s most popular and cherished singers. His victories on the stage of festivals in the 1960’s paved the way for his recording career, with world-known hits like “Felicità” and “Sempre Sempre”.
In 2016, AL Bano received Albanian citizenship, after having previously been honoured with the “Skanderbeg Order”.
